Homework Assignments
Each day students come in and write down the assignments off the board into their assignment book. They know every day what is for homework and when it is due.
For the week of 8/20/08
Reading - We are reading The Gardener in our reading books. They have a reading packet due Friday. They will also have a test over the story on Friday.
Social Studies - This year in Social Studies we will be working on getting to know Arizona - when it came to be a state, who lived there, everything we can about it.
Math - We are working on expanded, standard, and word form. They have a math packet that they work on every night and some times they will be working out of their book.
Spelling - We take pre-tests Monday and they have a packet to work on that is due Friday. On Friday, everyone who did not receive a 90% or better will retake the test.
Writing - We started this year off by going through some of our "memories". I want them to write about a very strong memory they have and go into as much detail as they can about it. That will be due next week.
